Free use of leisure facilities to support Olympics in Hong Kong

The news from Cultural Services Department as : "To support the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, encourage people to exercise more regularly and promote community sports with a view to improving the public's quality of life, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will launch the "Free Admission Scheme of LCSD Leisure Facilities" in various fee-charging leisure facilities under its management from July 1 to September 30. During this period, members of the public will be able to use the facilities free of charge.

No advance booking is required for free admission to public swimming pools. Members of the public only need to queue up at the entrances of the swimming pools before the opening hours of a session for admission on a first-come-first-served basis. Those intending to use the coin-return lockers should bring five-dollar coins which they can get back after using the lockers. Children under 12 should be accompanied by adults to use the swimming pool facilities."
